1. Cold Catalyst Filter
Captures formaldehyde, ammonia, benzene, TVOC and other gases released by household furniture, paint and fabrics - the pollutants you cannot see or smell.
Every ZMedic Air device does two jobs: it cleans the air through four stages of filtration, then enriches it using a patented metal honeycomb. Spin the device to see how it is built.
Air entering a ZMedic Air device passes through four distinct filters before it reaches the honeycomb. Each one handles a different class of pollutant, and the order matters - coarse contaminants are removed first so the finer stages are not overwhelmed.
Captures formaldehyde, ammonia, benzene, TVOC and other gases released by household furniture, paint and fabrics - the pollutants you cannot see or smell.
A honeycomb carbon structure with enormous surface area that traps dust particles and absorbs cooking, pet and smoke odors.
An antimicrobial layer that targets common airborne bacteria before they reach the final filter stage.
True HEPA filtration removing particles down to 0.01 microns - bacteria, fungi, viruses, pollen, dander and fine PM 2.5 particulate.
An integrated germicidal UV lamp you can switch on for an additional layer of air sterilisation.
The device tracks its own runtime and tells you when the filters are due - roughly every 8 to 12 months depending on use.
At the output vent sits a metal honeycomb plate - the part that makes ZMedic Air different from every other purifier. A specific blend of metals creates an electrical-energy reaction with the air passing through, converting ordinary oxygen into low levels of singlet oxygen. No radiation is involved, unlike most other methods of producing it. To our knowledge this approach is a first, and it is protected by patent. The honeycomb never degrades and never needs replacing.
Singlet oxygen reverts to ordinary oxygen within a short lifespan, so proximity matters. Unlike a conventional purifier you tuck into a corner, ZMedic Air is built to sit close - on a desk, a bedside table, beside your chair. The front display shows mode and status at a glance, and at 40 watts with a quiet motor you will hardly register it is running.
A conventional air purifier removes things from your air. ZMedic Air removes them, then adds something back.
Comparison reflects typical consumer air purifiers. Specifications vary widely by manufacturer and model. Some older ionising purifiers produce ozone as a byproduct; ZMedic Air does not.
