Stage One

Three filters, in sequence

Air entering a ZMedic Air device passes through three distinct filters before it reaches the honeycomb. Each one handles a different class of pollutant, and the order matters - coarse contaminants are removed first so the finer stages are not overwhelmed.

1. Cold Catalyst Filter

Captures formaldehyde, ammonia, benzene, TVOC and other gases released by household furniture, paint and fabrics - the pollutants you cannot see or smell.

2. Cellular-Activated Carbon

A honeycomb carbon structure with enormous surface area that traps dust particles and absorbs cooking, pet and smoke odors.

3. 99.97% HEPA

True HEPA filtration removing particles down to 0.01 microns - airborne bacteria, fungi, viruses, pollen, dander and fine PM 2.5 particulate.

The patented honeycomb

At the output vent sits a metal honeycomb plate - the part that makes ZMedic Air different from every other purifier. A specific blend of metals creates an electrical-energy reaction with the air passing through, converting ordinary oxygen into low levels of singlet oxygen. No radiation is involved, unlike most other methods of producing it. To our knowledge this approach is a first, and it is protected by patent. The honeycomb never degrades and never needs replacing.

Designed to sit beside you

Singlet oxygen reverts to ordinary oxygen within a short lifespan, so proximity matters. Unlike a conventional purifier you tuck into a corner, ZMedic Air is built to sit close - on a desk, a bedside table, beside your chair. The front display shows mode and status at a glance, and at 40 watts with a quiet motor you will hardly register it is running.

Patent-protected technology

A world-first way to create singlet oxygen

In medicine and industry, singlet oxygen is usually produced by shining light on special molecules. ZMedic Air works differently: a unique blend of metals reacts with the air flowing through the device, creating singlet oxygen without any radiation. To our knowledge, it is the first time free singlet oxygen has been produced this way.

Combined with the device's filters, the result is indoor air that resembles the clean environment of an unpolluted green forest.
