Our founder Zion Badash's journey began with a family member - a child who suffered frequently from respiratory ailments. Traditional air purifiers proved inadequate, and the medications came with a long list of chemicals and side effects.
Armed with a double major in computer science and physics, Zion set out on a mission: to find a better way. A solution that would not only purify the air, but elevate its quality.
That quest led to ZMedic Air. Collaborating with experts across several fields, Zion developed a method of producing singlet oxygen - a re-arranged, more active form of the oxygen molecule. Through rigorous research and testing, the team created a metal honeycomb that converts ordinary oxygen from the intake into singlet oxygen. The innovation was awarded a patent.

An electro-optical engineer with 30 years in the high-tech industry, Noam oversees the intricate engineering of our air purifiers. His focus on making our products efficient, quiet and genuinely easy to live with shaped the technology into something that fits seamlessly into a home.
Yael is the driving force behind patenting our technology and shaping its applications. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Technion, and carried out postdoctoral research at the Hebrew University and the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Germany.
Dr. Gross brings extensive expertise in testing and reporting on our technology, and coordinates research for ZMedic Air in his field. He obtained his medical degree in Italy and currently heads a clinic in Israel.
A Spain-based expert in vascular diseases and disorders, Professor Malimovca advises on potential applications and coordinates research in his areas of expertise, drawing on a career spent working in hospitals worldwide.
